Selling & recovery

Selling manually

A launch at bought stays there indefinitely. Pressing Sell now exits every buy wallet, then the dev wallet, then sweeps.

Sells go out one wallet at a time, so each exits into a slightly lower price than the one before it. Wallets are topped up first if they lack the SOL to pay their own sell fee — a buy leaves a wallet nearly empty, and a wallet that cannot pay a fee cannot sell.

Auto-sell triggers

Set at creation, armed once the launch reaches bought:

TriggerFires when
TimerN seconds after the buys complete.
Buy volumeNet external buy volume since launch crosses your target, watched over pump.fun's live trade feed.
ProfitMarket cap is up X% from your entry.
Stop-lossDown X% — sells to cap the loss.
Max holdSells anyway after N minutes, whatever the price.
A trigger is a request to sell, not a guarantee of a price. It fires, then the sell has to land on-chain, and the price moves in between.

Creator rewards

pump.fun pays a token's creator a share of its trading fees. Those fees accrue to the wallet that created the token — the dev wallet — and sit there unclaimed until something asks for them. Selling the tokens does not collect them.

PumpRug claims them as the last step before every sweep, so they come home with everything else:

The amount recorded is measured as the dev wallet's balance change, net of the claim's own transaction fee — what actually arrived, not what an API promised. It appears in your launch log, and per launch and in total on your profile.

If a claim does not land, the launch is still marked sold — the sell succeeded, and the fees remain claimable. The next Recover or Sell & stop tries again.

Sweeping

After a sell, every launch wallet is emptied back to your funding wallet and any empty token accounts are closed, reclaiming their rent (roughly 0.002 SOL each).

Sweeping looks at balances, not at whether a wallet was swept before — a wallet can be swept, then sell and receive proceeds afterwards. Filtering on a flag instead of a balance is exactly how money gets left behind.

Recovering stranded SOL

Recover sweeps every launch wallet you own that still holds a balance, across all your launches, including ones that died mid-flight. It is safe to run at any time and costs only transaction fees. If a launch failed halfway and you are not sure whether the money came home, run it.

Failed is often retryable

A failed sell left the tokens sitting in the wallets, so selling again is allowed from that state. A launch whose token was created but whose buys never landed can have its buys retried.
